Fourth of July, Allentown: Start the week with July 4th celebrations. The celebrations and events are numerous in the Lehigh Valley. In Allentown, the Fourth of July Celebration is 5 - 10 p.m. July 4 at J. Birney Crum Stadium, with free entrance to performances and fireworks. The event is a “Red, White, and Blue” day of family fun with live music, entertainment and food. There will be patriotic items given away at gate entrances. The night is capped by a fireworks display scheduled at 9:20 p.m. And, if you find the right vantage point, you can also see the fireworks show scheduled at 9 p.m. at Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom. What a night. What a beautiful night. It was wild walking into Musikfest Café and seeing people wearing (the) Melvins, Suicidal Tendencies, Faith No More, Fantomas, Mr. Bungle, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Slayer, John Coltrane, and horror t-shirts. Fans showed up. People are still weary of COVID. Always stay safe with everything you do. Musikfest Café felt three bands, three amazing bands with THE ICONIC MELVINS. Harsh Mellow and Helms Alee opened for (the) Melvins.
