Region 3 Baseball Tourney Set

CARRINGTON, N.D. ( The 2022 Class B Region 3 Varsity Baseball tournament will be held over five days, starting Wednesday, May 18th and continuing on Friday, May 20th and then Monday through Wednesday, May 23rd-25th. The Loboes of Lamoure/Litchville/Marion are the defending region champs and are the number one seed this year and will play Monday in Carrington at 10am. The tournament can be heard on Thunder 98.3 and, here are the first three days of the schedule:

Carrington Outlasts Kidder County In 9 Innings

Steele. N.D. (—-The Carrington Cardinal’s baseball team scored 3 runs in the top of the 9th inning and defeated the Kidder County-Napoleon-Gackle Streeter Wolves 4-1 in Region 3 high school action. A windy day with gusts up to 50 MPH at times and sustained winds of 35 MPH throughout the game created some unique defensive alignments. Both teams had outfielders playing just steps away from the infield as the wind was blowing straight in from right and centerfield.

Carrington Improves to 6-3 in Region 3 Play

TOLNA, N.D. ( The Carrington Cardinals had two Region 3 games in Tolna on Monday, as their home field at Carrington City Park is still to wet to play on, they have not had one home game this spring season. The Cardinals pick up two important victories in the region, both 5-2 scores over Dakota Prairie/Midkota/Lakota/Griggs County and Sheyenne/New Rockford to improve to 6-3 in the region and 6-4 overall. DP/M/L/GC drops to 4-5 in the region and 5-6 overall, SNR drops to 0-8 in R3 and 2-10 overall.

Healthy Communities Coalition Working on Park Improvements

CARRINGTON, N.D. ( – A recent survey conducted by Foster County Public Health and CHI St. Alexius showed concerns about outdated park equipment in Carrington. Healthy Communities Coalition President Michelle Seil says they’re going to be working to address those concerns at the park located along 15th Avenue N on the west end.

( The Carrington Cardinals played two Region 3 Baseball games in Tolna on Friday afternoon, the Cardinals fall to Lamoure/Litchville/Marion 8-0 in the first game and defeat Dakota Prairie/Midkota/Lakota/Griggs County Mustangs 6-4 in the second game.
