SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Authorities in north central South Dakota practiced an active shooter drill at a school this week. The Corson County Sheriff’s Office shared photos from an active shooter response training at the Eureka school hosted by the McPherson County Sheriff’s Office. Regina Ann Schwingler Forseth Hauger was born to Michael and Theresa Schwingler in a farmhouse close to Hosmer, South Dakota on October 17, 1923. She was the youngest of 12 children. On May 13, 2022, she took God’s hand and began her journey in Heaven. In her own words:

Ruth Alice Ottenbacher, 93, Eureka, died Friday, June 10, 2022 at the Avera Eureka Healthcare Center. Her funeral arrangements are pending. Services are in care of Lien-Straub Funeral Chapel, Eureka.
