Defensive lineman Lloyd Murray Jr. announced his intention to transfer out of Colorado's program, four games into the 2021 season. A member of the Buffaloes' 2019 recruiting class coming out of Hirschi High School in Wichita Falls, Texas, Murray saw action in five games and he played a total of 83 defensive snaps during his time in Boulder. He recorded three tackles.

USC update: The Trojans suffered another embarrassing home defeat, falling to Oregon State in the Coliseum for the first time since 1960. … USC’s offense was plagued by dropped passes in the first half and after falling into an early hole was not able to ride the early success of RB Keaontay Ingram in the run game. Four turnovers turned into 20 Oregon State points. … The USC defense was gashed by the Beavers, who gained 535 yards and went on a 35-3 run after the Trojans took a 14-7 lead. The 24th-ranked Buffs (10-1, 1-1 Pac-12) gave the Utes (8-3, 1-1 Pac-12) their third loss of the season after CU finished with a hitting percentage of .351 and held the Pac-12 hitting percentage leaders to just a .170 hitting percentage.
