Deloris “Tiny” Fuselier Savoie, 89, a native of Buras, LA and resident of Larose, LA passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. Visitation will be held at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 22nd from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Zu passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at the age of 80. He was the husband of Anna “Toc” Zuvich and they shared 58 years of marriage together. He was born in Merced, Ca. and at the age of 7, moved to Buras La. where he attended Buras High School. After graduating he enlisted into the U.S. Navy and served from 1959-1962. He worked in the oil and gas industry for many years and retired with Chevron as an I & E technician. Zu was a self-taught accomplished drummer and played in several local bands over the years. He also loved football and doing jigsaw puzzles.

VENICE, La. (AP) — A Louisiana hunting guide has pleaded guilty to harassing duck hunters and shooting their decoys. The 32-year-old local guide from Buras was trying to make the other duck hunters leave public land in Venice so he could hunt there, Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries enforcement spokesman Adam Einck said in an email on Tuesday.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, in Larose, from 9:30 a.m. until a Mass of Christian burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. with interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Cut Off, La.
