For over 50 years Theodore “Ted” Wooster, walked briskly down the hill to his pharmacy on Friendship Street, eager to greet the new day. Clark’s Drug Store was not just a business to Ted, it was his mission to care for the people of Waldoboro. He fulfilled this mission with single-mindedness, good humor, and a passion for helping his clients. As a caring, dedicated pharmacist, he was second to none.

Ronald C. Weeks Jr., 45, of Friendship, died unexpectedly aboard his lobster boat while doing something he loved, tuna fishing. Ronnie passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. Ronnie was born on Feb. 2, 1976, in Augusta. He attended local schools and graduated from Medomak Valley High School in 1994. He served in the U.S. Army from 1994 to 1998, stationed out of Fort Story, Va. Ronnie served as a watercraft engineer and received many awards and medals, including the Expert Marksmanship Badge. He then went on to work as a lobsterman until his final days. Ronnie enjoyed many outdoor activities, including fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and spending time with his family.

1 dead in Friendship crash

A motorcyclist died in a crash in Friendship on Saturday, according to Village Soup. The crash occurred before 10 a.m. on Saturday on Colonel Stairs Road. The person who died was not local, according to the newspaper, and was the only person on the motorcycle. The Sheriff’s Office has not identified the person pending notification of their family.

Shortly after purchasing Oak Point Farm in 2017, Boothbay Region Land Trust’s (BRLT’s) board of directors began exploring design plans for the farmhouse renovation. Ultimately the renovation was broken into distinct phases with an initial focus on updates that ensured public access, operational improvements, and structural upgrades. Beyond this, the larger vision also included plans to enhance public use of the full downstairs visitor center. This would entail a significant reworking of the kitchen space on the west side of the building, including moving the kitchen to a more discrete location, and removing a wall between the kitchen and dining room to create a large public gathering space.

A 76-year-old Newcastle man died in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on North Newcastle Road on Saturday, July 26. Thomas B. Atticks, 76, was driving a 2002 Yamaha Motorcycle south in the area of 300 North Newcastle Road when he drifted off of the southbound shoulder and collided with a tree stump, according to a press release from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
