Boone deputies: Driver who fled officers at more than 100 mph faces charges

BOONE COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — A driver who deputies said fled at speeds at more than 100 mph on U.S. 119 in Boone County faces charges. Hunter Gillispie, 22, of Julian was arrested Thursday on charges of felony fleeing in a vehicle and driving with a revoked/suspended operator’s, according to a news release from the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.

Man arrested after driving 109 mph on US 119

BOONE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - A man was arrested after the Boone County Sheriff’s Department says he was driving at 109 mph Tuesday. It happened on US 119 in Boone County. Deputies say they stopped Richard Boggs, 40, of Danville, and arrested him for reckless driving, driving on a suspended driver’s license third offense, speeding, no insurance and fraudulent MVI.

Miner dies in shuttle car collision; second mining death this week
