Two teenagers and another youth were rescued by Okaloosa County sheriff’s deputies Tuesday night after they became stranded on the Yellow River. Two 18-year-olds and a 12-year-old called for help after they got stranded while tubing "deep on the river," according to a Facebook post by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.

A 60-year-old Eastpoint man, driving a pickup truck just south of Fountain in Bay County, struck a motorcycle Friday morning, leaving the cyclist with critical injuries. According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the Eastpoint man was behind the wheel of a silver pick-up, just before 11 a.m., heading north on U.S. 23 and preparing to make a left turn near State Route 20.

A two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle that occurred at approximately 10:10 a.m. Friday, June 24, has claimed the life of an Elba man. Skylier Lee Roberts, 20, was fatally injured when the 2006 Yamaha R6 he was operating struck a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado. Roberts was thrown from the motorcycle causing fatal injuries. Roberts was pronounced deceased at the scene.
