Vegan mom found guilty in toddler’s malnutrition death

FORT MYERS, Fla. — A Florida mother was found guilty of killing her toddler son after prosecutors said she starved the child to death. Sheila O’Leary was charged with first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse and child neglect after 18-month-old Ezra died in September 2019. O’Leary and her husband, Ryan, were both indicted months after the child’s death for abusing and neglecting not only Ezra, but their three other children as well, WBBH reported.

Florida golfer calmly takes shot while alligator approaches

She was among 181 charged for obstructing traffic midday. Fort Myers Democrat Cindy Banyai, a candidate for Congress, was arrested protesting at the U.S. Supreme Court. Capitol Police on Thursday arrested 181 people taking part in a sit-in protest outside the court and charged them with crowding, obstructing or incommoding, violating a Washington city ordinance. The agency around 12:30 p.m. said demonstrators illegally blocked the intersection at First Street and Constitution Avenue.

Alessio Holdings purchased the 14-acre site from ALS Commercial II LLC for $12 million in a deal that included $3 million worth of equipment. 11-year-old involved in Cape Coral gun store burglary now faces 20 charges

Police say one of the two children arrested after nearly two dozen guns were stolen from a Cape Coral firearms dealer confessed on Thursday to 16 different vehicle burglaries. According to the Cape Coral Police Department, its property crimes unit contacted the 11-year-old at his residence after he was released from the Juvenile Assessment Center of Lee County on Wednesday. The 11-year-old had been held at the center for 21 days following the June 8 burglary of Guns 4 Less, during which he and a 14-year-old are accused of stealing 22 guns, ammo, and other items.
