Body Reportedly Found by the Roadside on County Road 22 Monday Morning / UPDATED

A body has reportedly been found in a ditch – across from the old Pruitt’s Restaurant location on County Road 22, approximately five miles east of Centre. A call came in just prior to 7:00 this (Monday) morning reporting the discovery of the body, however at the time the caller didn’t know if the individual was alive or dead.

GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. — Jimmy Shane drove the defending national champion Miss HomeStreet to two victories in the first two preliminary heats at today’s APBA Gold Cup race in Guntersville. Dave Villwock and Jeff Bernard also claimed heat victories. The racing will continue tomorrow with two more sets of preliminary heats and a winner-take-all final that will determine the 2022 Gold Cup champion.

Maryland grandmother credited with saving pizza delivery driver’s life after shooting

JOPPA, Md. — A pizza delivery driver is expected to survive, and police have arrested a suspect after a shooting Saturday night in Joppa, Maryland. Deputies with the Harford County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that Da’Shawn Betterson and Malik Burns had been involved in an altercation in the parking lot of a Papa John’s Pizza. Investigators said that when Betterson left the parking lot to deliver a pizza, Betterson followed him and shot him.
