Dublin Rotary Club on Thursday hosted a western barbecue cookout for high school students from throughout the region attending the annual RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Activity) camp at Tarleton. Fishing report

GOOD. Water slightly stained; 81-83 degrees; 3.61 feet low. Bass are fair to good up to 4 pounds on crankbaits and jigs on hardwoods and between docks. The topwater bite is starting to pick up. Crappie are good to 1.25 pounds on minnows and jigs from 10-15 feet of water on brush piles and under docks. White bass are good to 1.00 pound on crankbaits casting or trolling. Catfish are slow on cut bait, liver and perch.

My child decides to entertain everyone by swinging from a chain on a patience pole that’s used to tie horses to. GOOD. Water slightly stained; 75-78 degrees; 3.56 feet low. Bass are good to 6 pounds on crankbaits and shaky heads feeding on perch beds along rocky shorelines. Most are in a summer pattern. Crappie are fair to one pound on minnows from 10-15 feet of water in brush piles and around lighted docks. White bass are excellent to 1.25 pounds trolling with small swimbaits or crankbaits. Catfish are slow on cut bait, liver and perch.
