Atmos Energy to perform routine natural gas maintenance in Rockwall

ROCKWALL, TX (June 18, 2021) Atmos Energy will perform routine maintenance resulting in the safe removal of natural gas on Monday, June 21, through Friday, July 2, each weekday from approximately 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of Discovery Boulevard and Derby Drive in Rockwall. City of Heath to host Community Forum on proposed Noise Ordinance

HEATH, TX (June 15, 2021) A draft of a proposed Noise Ordinance for Heath has been posted at www.heathtx.com for review. The City currently does not have a Noise Ordinance, and this draft is only a starting point for Heath that is based upon models adopted by other cities. All of the terms, including the hours stated for a commercial business to be able to play sound/live music, will be refined during a process that begins with getting citizen input at the Community Forum from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 17 in the Community Room at Heath City Hall, 200 Laurence Drive. ERCOT issues conservation notice asking Texans to conserve electricity

DALLAS (June 15, 2021) – The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), the governing body that oversees the electric grid in Texas, is asking all Texans to reduce electric use as much as possible through Friday, June 18. Per ERCOT, a significant number of forced generation outages combined with potential record electric use for the month of June has resulted in tight grid conditions.

The good news is that bobcats are the best pest control you could hope for! They don’t want to bother us, and are not just waiting to prey upon children or pets – they would much rather we didn’t even know they were there.

Rockwall County Judge David Sweet Elected New President of the North Central Texas Council of Governments for 2021-2022

ROCKWALL, TX, June 12, 2021 — Rockwall County Judge, David Sweet, was elected President of the North Central Texas Council of Governments’ (NCTCOG) Executive Board at NCTCOG’s 55th annual General Assembly, which was held virtually on Friday, June 4. The Executive Board is the policy-making body of the Council of Governments which serves the 16 North Central Texas counties of Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Erath, Hood, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Navarro, Palo Pinto, Parker, Rockwall, Somervell, Tarrant and Wise. Judge Sweet will lead the 17-member board for the next 12 months.
