Missouri State Highway Patrol reports three arrests on Saturday and Sunday

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a resident of the northwest Missouri community of Clyde, 36-year-old Hayden Everton, was arrested Saturday morning in Nodaway County. Everton was accused of driving while intoxicated, driving while suspended, following too closely, failure to drive on the right half of the road, failure to signal, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, stopping in the middle of the road, failure to stop at a red light, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, littering, resisting arrest, and sexual assault. Everton was taken to the Nodaway County Jail.

2022 Adams County Fair begins Friday

(Adams Co.) The 2022 Adams County Fair kicks off this Friday in Corning. Evy Ganfield, Adams County Youth and Outreach Coordinator, said although the fair officially starts Friday, anyone wanting to participate in the open class judging should bring their exhibits to the Adams County 4-H building at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Tractor Cruise starts from new location

The 2022 Heart of America Tractor Cruise, June 25, saw 95 tractors take part in the 63.5 mile drive, which started from the Northwest Missouri Regional Airport. FCS: Through FCS Financial donation matching, Assistant Vice President Kyle Schieber, center, $25 donation to the Heart of America Tractor Cruise was matched. At the end of the month, a drawing was held for an additional $500. Schieber was drawn as the winner and the tractor cruise received a $550 donation from him and FCS.

Geography with Goudge: NBA Draft Map, 2018 - 2022

(KMAland) -- Dr. Ted Goudge, a Shenandoah native and Associate Professor of Geography at Northwest Missouri State University, has released his latest geography map. The 2022 NBA Draft concluded last week with the selection of 58 players over two rounds. The past five years (2018-2022) or 300 players were compiled to produce this per capita production map of drafted basketball players based on where they went to high school. The eastern half of the country indicates an area of higher production. 34 percent of the draftees were college freshmen, only 21 percent seniors. Foreign players account for over 22%, of the draftees. Canada, France and Serbia accounted for almost 40% of the foreign players.
