Katie Jane Michaels, 79, of Frostbite, Spring City, and Bledsoe County, Tennessee passed away early Thursday morning, May 27, 2021, at her home. She was born in Medulla, Florida, on August 13, 1941, the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Pollock and Cora Alene (McKay) Pollock. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Kymberly Ann Spears; her two brothers, Ben Pollock and Johnny Pollock; and her three sisters, Joyce, Alene, and Esie.

Services set for Gibson

A Cumberland County resident was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Bledsoe County last week. Martin Gibson, 67, died from injuries sustained when his 2013 Honda Insight veered off Hwy. 127 S. and struck a tree, The Bledsonian Banner reports. Preliminary information from the Tennessee Highway Patrol states Gibson was traveling north toward Pikeville in the area of Brea Rd. when he crossed the southbound lane into a ditch. The vehicle hit a tree before coming to a rest.

Anne E. Patton, 83, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2021 at the Soddy Daisy Healthcare Center. She was born in Bledsoe County and was the daughter of Joe and Willie Grace Patton of Pikeville. Anne was a member of the Church of Christ, graduated from Bledsoe County High School, Tennessee Tech University with a BS Degree in education. She retired from Taft Youth Center, loved teaching school, singing, and enjoyed having a part at the Cumberland County Playhouse in Crossville.
