Car carrier catches fire, shuts Route 33 North for 4 hours

For the second time in recent days, a car carrier caught fire late Thursday night on an area highway. Palmer Township firefighters were called about 10 p.m. to a blaze on Route 33 North between the Main Street and Route 191 interchanges, Deputy Chief Jim Alercia said in a news release. There had been several reports from passersby in both directions of a burning truck, Alercia added.
