EASTON, Pa. | Northampton County police announced the arrest of two men on Friday on drug related charges in connection with alleged fentanyl dealing. Jose Gonzalez, 30, and Robert Rodriguez, 29, are facing charges of Possession with Intent to Distribute, Use or Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Persons not to Possess Firearms in Northampton County, and are to face the same charges in Lehigh County, police say.

A Sussex County ex-con was indicted on murder charges in connection to the fatal stabbing of a 38-year-old woman in Hunterdon County, authorities said Friday. Newton resident Brandon E. Petersen, 31, was indicted via a Hunterdon County grand jury for first-degree murder, third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and fourth-degree unlawful taking of a means of conveyance, Prosecutor Renee M. Robeson said.

State Police are searching for a man accused of selling a woman a fatal dose of heroin before breaking into her East Stroudsburg home in an attempt to cover up the crime. Korey Jordan Ball and another man are facing manslaughter and burglary charges after police say they sold a woman fentanyl-laced heroin in early December. The following day, detectives say the men stole evidence of their drug delivery from her home while she lay dead on the floor.
