Deputies: Missing Lincolnton Woman Found Safe

Police say a woman reported missing in Lincoln County on April 29th has been located and is safe. Sherry Lee Cornell, 47, was found by Newton Police on Saturday, June 25th. During the investigation, detectives located at least five places where Cornell had lived in Lincoln, Catawba and Iredell Counties.

NC deputies need help identifying man who left box of kittens on porch

ELLENBORO, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office and animal control need help identifying a man who abandoned kittens on June 23. We’re told around 9:11 p.m., the man was seen leaving a box of kittens on the porch of Fagans Farm located at 368 New House Road in Ellenboro. The box the kittens were in was taped shut and the kittens were found the next day at 6:30 a.m.

Suspect in custody following shooting in North Carolina

Deputies said the shooting happened near Webb Road in Ellenboro. They added that the shooter is in custody, and there is no active threat to the community.

Iron Station man lands 27 counts of theft-related charges

LINCOLNTON – An Iron Station man was arrested on several dozen felony charges Saturday related to thefts and break-ins. According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Det. F. Runyon began the investigation into thefts and break-ins that occurred in the area of Old Plank Road between May 31 and June 22. The thefts involved a lawn equipment, four-wheeler, motorcycle, and three hand guns reportedly stolen from vehicles. The suspect was identified as Dustin Edward Thomas, 30.
