Neighborhood dispute ends in murder, SWAT team response

COLUMBUS, OH – On Sunday, June 20, 2021, at 3:37pm,, Columbus Police Officers were called to 2000 block of Walnut Hill Park Dr. on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found 43-year-old Jason Keys suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Keys was transported to Mount Carmel East Hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced deceased at 4:19 pm.

A U.S. Navy Ohio class missile submarine made a rare and very brief stop in San Diego today. The Twitter ship spotting account @WarshipCam was the first to spot the submarine on a live feed of the Port of San Diego available through @SanDiegoWebCam. Timestamps on still images from the video show that the submarine arrived just before 11:50 AM local time and was headed back out shortly before 12:30 PM. Which is a bizarrely quick turnaround.

Columbus police have charged a man with fatally shooting a neighbor Sunday afternoon during a dispute on the Far East Side, the city's third homicide in three days. Elias Smith, 24, has been charged with murder in connection with the death of 43-year-old Jason Keys, of Pataskala, who was shot around 3:30 p.m. Sunday on the 2000 block of Walnut Hill Park Drive near Oakmont Elementary School.
