Monday afternoon, an Officer was dispatched to the Show Me Auto Mall, 108 West 16th Street, in reference to a stolen vehicle report. The vehicle was last seen on the evening of June 6th. MSHP Arrest Reports for June 15, 2021

The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested 35-year-old Francisco Cruz Perez of Sedalia at 1:10 a.m. Tuesday in Pettis County. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, no driver's license, and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway. Perez was taken to the Pettis County Sheriff's Office, where he was booked and released.

Two Motorcyles Crash in Carroll County

Two motorcycles collided in Carroll County Monday morning. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that 76-year-old Ronald M. Schuler tried to overtake 70-year-old Norman E. Bliss while riding on Route J at County Road 281 at 8:38 am. The vehicles collided and Schuler was ejected from his cycle suffering moderate injuries.


A 43-year-old Concordia woman who was charged with multiple felonies after a reported incident on March 4, 2020, changed her plea and has been sentenced in Lafayette County. A police report says an officer responded to a residence to assist medics with an overdosed patient. Central dispatch advised that the caller stated the patient had overdosed on heroin. Melanie Hilbrenner met officers at the front door of the home and took them to the unresponsive man. Officers also reported seeing a loaded AR 15 rifle and large knives throughout the home within reach of a 6-year-old child. They also located drug-related items, as well as several items used to consume the drugs.


A 33-year-old Lexington man who posted surety bond on March 2 has had his bond revoked by the court. According to a probable-cause statement, Thomas Kopp was arrested after Lafayette County authorities executed a narcotics search warrant at a residence on September 14, 2020. Authorities say they seized drugs, drug paraphernalia, firearms and ammunition.

Pettis County Health Worried About COVID Spread in U.S. 65 Corridor

Pettis County Health Center is worried about two areas of increasing COVID-19 cases. One to our north and one to our south, which can bring more cases of COVID-19 to our area. In the latest Pettis County COVID-19 Task Force Briefing Pettis County Health Center says we're in between two areas of increasing COVID-19 cases. Linn, Livingston, and Chariton counties to the north, and Stone, Taney, Christian, Greene, Webster, Laclede, Camden, and Miller counties to the south. The counties to the south concern the Health Center because they are tourist and recreation destinations, and many travelers stop in Sedalia while driving to and from those destinations.


David Michael “Mike” Williams, age 71, of Gilliam, MO, died Sunday, June 13, 2021, at Harry S Truman Memorial Veterans’ Hospital in Columbia. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 19, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Burial, with military rites, will follow at Gilliam Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 18, at the funeral home.

Disturbance Call at Motel Leads to Arrest

On Saturday night, Sedalia Police were dispatched to Motel 6, 3402 West Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the subjects involved. A computer check revealed on subject had three active Failure to Appear warrants from Shelby County on original charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Shoplifting and Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle.
