Two charged with murder in Waynesville shooting; investigation ongoing

WAYNESVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Two people are now charged with murder after a shootout in Waynesville Tuesday night. Waynesville Police Chief David Adams tells News 13 three men, James Rhinehart, 41 his brother Troy Rhinehart, 39, and Jesse Martin, 42 were involved in an altercation Tuesday night at around 8 p.m. near the corner of Railroad and Scates Streets.

UPDATE: One deceased, one injured after early morning shooting

UPDATE (June 15, 2021): Tyrell Devon Warren has been charged with the murder of Brian Keith Wilson, Jr., and the shooting of another person, on Riverside Drive on June 13. Detectives are asking for help to locate Warren, who is considered armed and dangerous. He is described as a 29-year-old African-American male, 5’8″, and approximately 154 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
