Two teens injured in early morning Cambridge shooting

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – Cambridge Police are searching for at least one shooting suspect Wednesday. Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the area of Greenwood Avenue and Camelia Street just after midnight. Police say they found two separate shooting victims but believe the actual incident happened in the 600 block of Greenwood Avenue.

POCOMOKE – The Worcester County Sheriff’s Office recognized Deputy First Class Brian K. Heller on the 21st anniversary of his death this week. Sheriff Matt Crisafulli, joined by Heller’s fellow law enforcement officers and members of Heller’s family, commemorated his death with a ceremony on Route 113 on June 14. Heller was killed in a single vehicle accident while responding to a call in 2000.

Suspect Now Facing Murder One In Cpl. Heacook’s Killing

On Tuesday the Department of Justice announced that Randon Wilkerson has been indicted for the murder of Cpl. Keith Heacook of the Delmar Police Department. Wilkerson will face two counts of Murder First Degree, two counts of Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony, and 11 other crimes including multiple counts of Assault First Degree, following a brutal assault on Cpl. Heacook and an elderly couple. Attorney General Jennings pledged to upgrade his charges to include murder after Cpl. Heacook’s succumbed to his injuries three days after the assault.

Murder suspect on the loose in Princess Anne

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – Maryland State Police are searching for a murder suspect in Princess Anne. Authorities say it happened just before 6PM Sunday on Bratten Avenue. MSP responded to a call for a shooting in an apartment on the 11000 block and found 24-year-old Michael Cooper in front of his apartment. Cooper had been shot and while he was taken to he hospital, ultimately did not survive.
