T-bone accident sends three to hospital

A T-bone accident sent three people to the hospital Sunday morning. The accident occurred just before noon on Highway 15-501 in Carthage in front of Cooper Ford. A Lexus heading north appeared to be turning into Cooper Ford from the turning lane when it was hit in the passenger side by a Nissan. Both vehicles had heavy damage.

Active law enforcement response ends in suicide

A nearly four-hour standoff between law enforcement and a man barricaded in a vehicle in Pinehurst ended in suicide on Friday afternoon. “During a traffic stop on July 1, along highway 15/501, the Pinehurst Police Department attempted to serve warrants for multiple felonies to a 52-year-old male residing in Pinehurst,” said the Village of Pinehurst in a press release.

Overdose Call in Asheboro Leads To Vehicle Chase – Couple Arrested

ASHEBORO N.C. – What started as a call for a possible overdose in Asheboro ended with two people arrested, a gun seized, a stolen car recovered, all after a vehicle chase. On June 30, 2022 at around 6pm emergency crews and police were called to a possible overdose in the parking lot of the Randolph Mall. RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. (TCD) -- A 37-year-old woman stands accused of fatally shooting her husband after initially telling authorities her husband killed himself. According to a news release from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, on June 25, deputies responded to Ridge Road to a report of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. At the scene, authorities reportedly transported the victim, longtime firefighter Mishael Auman, to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Woman charged with murder after alleging firefighter husband killed himself

A woman in North Carolina who claimed her husband shot and killed himself has been arrested and charged with his murder. People reports that police arrived at the couple's home on 25 June after receiving a 911 call "regarding an alleged self-inflicted gunshot wound."
