FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Fayette County man is facing more charges after refusing to comply with the police. According to deputies, on June 22, 2022, they responded to Cannelton in regards to a 911 hang-up call. An officer with the Montogomery Police Department was on duty and went to the area. A neighbor called 911 to tell them that their neighbor’s address had been broken into and the person had blood on them. The officer then observed Tyler Schoolcraft walking up the road with only a bra and panties on. Schoolcraft starts fighting with the officer and wouldn’t obey the officer’s commands. Schoolcraft was resisting arrest.

CLENDENIN, WV (WOWK)—A man is in custody after allegedly getting into an altercation with officers on Sunday. Clendenin Police say that they responded to a single-vehicle crash near Hokie Lane and Elk River Road North at around 4:25 p.m. They say that the driver of the crashed vehicle fled the scene.

NICHOLAS COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — A memorial benefit ride and raffle will be conducted in Nicholas County with all proceeds going to benefit a fallen deputy’s family. The benefit ride in remembrance of Tom Baker is scheduled Aug. 20, according to a flier promoting the event. Registration and the raffle begins at 9 a.m., with the ride starting at 11 a.m.

CLENDENIN, W.Va. (WCHS) — Clendenin police said a man faces multiple charges after he crashed a vehicle, fled from the scene and fought with officers. Jeffrey Lee Smith, 50, of Clendenin was arrested Sunday following a single-vehicle wreck near Hokie Lane and Elk River Road North, according to a news release from the Clendenin Police Department.

GLENVILLE — Kathryn Black and her granddaughter, Ruby Konn recently attended the W.Va. State Folk Festival in Glenville on June 17, 2022. Kathryn represented the Upshur County CEOS at the event, which is held each year beginning the third Thursday in June.
