Police searching for missing Smyrna man

SMYRNA, Del. – Smyrna Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Smyrna man. Police say 38-year-old Joshua Jannett has been missing since early May. He is 5’10”, 175 pounds, with brown hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. He was last known to possibly be traveling to the Philadelphia area to look for work and housing and has not been heard from since.

A 14-year-old Wilmington girl, Madison Davis, has been found almost a month after being reported missing, police said Thursday. Officials said that following a tip from a member of the public, Wilmington Police investigators responded to a location in Smyrna, Delaware yesterday evening. Madison Davis was located and has since been reunited with her family.

Maryland State Police said Antonio Oneil Payton, 33, of Temple Hills, Prince George's County, was trying to cross the Express Toll Lane when he was struck by a tractor-trailer.

Trial Begins in Case of Man Charged With Fatal Stabbing in Annapolis

The first degree murder trial in connection with a fatal stabbing that occured in Annapolis last summer is scheduled to begin. An Anne Arundel County jury will hear the case of Lester Lee Colbert during a four day trial beginning June 15, 2021. Detectives with the Annapolis Police Department arrested Colbert, 42, and charged him with killing Deontrae Matthews nearly a year ago.
