2022-06-30@7:57pm– Firefighters were called to the 200 block of Huntington Turnpike for help in extricating a driver who hit a tree and rolled the car on its side. Firefighters had to remove the roof of the car. The person was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Lyft driver stabbed in random attack in Darien, police say

DARIEN — A Lyft driver was stabbed several times by a customer Monday night, according to the Darien Police Department. Police were called to a reported crash near West and Holmes avenues a little after 10:30 p.m. A Lyft driver told police that he intentionally crashed his vehicle into a tree to stop the attack, Sgt. Dan Skoumbros said in a news release.
