Decatur Police respond to crash at McDonald’s

MACON COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — The Decatur Police Department said no one was seriously hurt after a crash Tuesday. Officers said it was at the Mt. Zion McDonald’s located off of Route 121 by the Route 36 intersection in Decatur. DPD has not released the cause of the crash.

An Illinois nurse has resigned her position after an angry tweet in the aftermath of last week’s decision striking down Roe v. Wade. In her tweet, she suggested that she might deny drugs like Viagra to a patient who was, quote, “a white male who votes conservative.” WCIA-TV reports the woman was an advance practice registered nurse at Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospital in Mattoon, who resigned after the tweet went viral.

Lake Shelbyville has compiled a list of locations best suited for viewing the fireworks. Locations include Dam West Recreation Area, Dam East Recreation Area, Lake Shelbyville Visitor Center, portions of the road across the Dam, and Dam West Overlook.
