May 16, 1889 — J.R. Cameron, who had a difficulty with Joseph Menefee at Bentonville last week, and who fired several shots at Menefee, was arrested by Chief of Police Wm. B. Campbell and James Woods, of Vaughn’s Summit, and by the latter conveyed to Bentonville and turned over to the officers at that place, where he made his escape. When last heard of he was at Winchester.
