Earthquake reported in northern Marion County

A minor earthquake has been reported in northern Marion County. The United States Geological Survey says the magnitude 2.1 quake was recorded 6.9 miles southwest of Pontiac, Missouri Wednesday morning at 2:20. The location is 19.1 miles west-northwest of Mountain Home, 27.4 miles east-northeast of Harrison and 31.8 miles east-southeast of Branson.

Howard Hadenfeldt, age 66, died Sunday, May 15, 2022, at his home under hospice care in Branson, Missouri. In accordance with his wishes, a prayer service will be held for family and friends on Saturday, June 11, 2022, 11:30 a.m. at the gravesite of Norman and Dylece Hadenfeldt, Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Cairo. The service will be conducted by Brian L. Wright, Pastor of Christ Lutheran Church. A luncheon will follow at the Church, 503 W. Medina St., Cairo. Kissee-Schofield-Eakins Funeral Home, of Forsyth, Missouri, is assisting the family.
