Patrol: Excuses for Speeding During July Enforcement Campaign

Sheldon Floyd Olson

Sheldon Floyd Olson, 57, of Braham passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 3, 2022 in Braham, Minnesota. Sheldon was born in Cambridge, MN on Jan. 22, 1965 to Floyd and Faye Olson. Sheldon grew up in rural Isanti and loved the outdoors. He spent most of his free time trapping, fishing, or hunting anything and everything. All he had to do was walk out of the house and he would inevitably come home with something that he wanted his mom to cook up. There wasn’t a fall that went by that he wasn’t in a deer stand with his dad, brothers, and family friends. He sold gopher feet and muscrat hides by the hundreds for money. Much of which was spent going to the Green Barn on his bike with his sisters to get candy and treats. He graduated from Cambridge-Isanti High School in 1983. He was an eight-year veteran of the Bluejackets football team. As a senior he played varsity defensive and offensive tackle #74. He was awarded a Bethel College football scholarship but chose to follow in his fathers and brothers foot steps into the military. He served in the U.S. Army at Fort Shafter OK, and was stationed in Germany for three years.

Alvin G. Riedemann

Alvin G. Riedemann, age 76, of Cambridge passed away peacefully Aug. 3, 2022 at his significant other’s home in Stacy, surrounded by his loving family. Alvin Gene Riedemann was born Oct. 14, 1945 in Sanborn, Iowa to Clarence and Anna (Hansen) Riedemann. He grew up in Onamia and graduated from Onamia High School in 1963 Alvin served his country in the US Marine Corps from 1963 – 1966. Alvin married Margaret and they were blessed with five children. They raised their family in Cambridge. He worked as a truck driver with the Teamster Local 120. His hobbies included tinkering with his David Bradley collection or his John Deere tractor, and working on projects in his shop.

Barbara Jean Fellerer

Barbara Fellerer, age 73, of Cambridge died peacefully at home Aug. 5, 2022. Barbara Jean Fellerer was born Dec. 2, 1948 in Hibbing, Minnesota to Ludwig and Caroline (Fremgen) Lamprecht. She grew up in the Hibbing area and graduated from Hibbing High School in 1966. On July 7, 1983 Barbara married Robert Fellerer. They made their home in several places around the Twin Cities. Barbara worked as a Registered Nurse at Midway Hospital in St. Paul, St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood and at Aitkin Hospital. After Barbara and Bob retired they moved to Lake Washburn and then to Cambridge 12 years ago. They loved to travel and visited many places including the Arctic Circle, Europe, the Caribbean, Alaska and they wintered in Arizona for several years. Barbara loved to sew and she made many quilts for her family.

Roland P. Berg

Roland Philip Berg, of Isle, passed away on Monday, Aug. 1, 2022, at the Mille Lacs Health Care Center in Onamia, Minnesota. He was 82 years old.

Joann Darlene Krinke

Joann Darlene Krinke passed away at her home at Walker Levande in Cambridge on Aug. 7, 2022. Joann was born in Cambridge on Jan. 25, 1935 to Rene and Mildred Stadin. She grew up in Cambridge and graduated high school in 1953. She was employed after high school at the Federal Reserve Bank in Minneapolis. On Aug. 25, 1955 she was united in marriage to Elwin Gene Krinke of Mora. They first resided in Minneapolis before moving to Richfield. Joann was employed by the Richfield Bank and Trust for many years there. They had their first two children there and later moved to Bloomington where two more children were born. They moved to Cambridge in 1971 and later to the farm in 1973. When the last child was in school, she got a job at Cambridge Nursing Care Center where she was employed until she retired. In 2001 Joann helped design her new home which they built in 2002. She always wanted a brand-new home. She moved to Walker Levande in 2019 following Gene’s passing.

Dorothy Jeanette Johnson (Nelson), of Braham, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2022, at her home in rural Braham. She was 91 years old.

Dorothy Jeanette Johnson (Nelson), 91 of Braham, MN, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2022, at her home in rural Braham. She was born Sept. 28, 1930, in Duluth MN, to parents William and Wilma (Sundbom) Nelson. She grew up in Duluth, moved to Braham in 1946 and graduated from Braham High School in 1948. After high school, Dorothy went to business school and was employed in Minneapolis at ADM. She met Arlowe Johnson and they were married Jan. 6, 1951. They then purchased their rural Braham home and she remained there until her passing.
