DUI driver charged for biting Manheim Township cop while being arrested after crash: police

A New Jersey motorist bit a cop as she was being arrested for crashing while driving under the influence, according to Manheim Township police. Lateefah Habeebullah Ross, 44, of Jersey City, New Jersey, bit the officer on the arm after crashing in the 1600 block of Fruitville Pike in Manheim Township just after 5 p.m. Friday, according to an affidavit of probable cause.

Ephrata Shooting Under Investigation

EPHRATA – A Lancaster County shooting is under investigation. Today at 4:20 a.m., police responded to a residence in the 200 block of Mortar Lane in Ephrata Borough. A preliminary investigation indicates that the public is not in danger. Investigators from the Ephrata Police Department and the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office are on scene.

Reading city residents will see increase in trash bills in 2022

READING., Pa. – Reading City Council voted 5-1 Monday to approve a new five-year trash and recycling contract that will cause residential city trash bills to increase by $5 a month. City council awarded the contract during a brief special voting meeting prior to its committee of the whole meeting.
