Pennsylvania’s unemployment rate down to 6.4% in August

Pennsylvania’s unemployment rate was down one-tenth of a percentage point over the month to 6.4% in August, the state Department of Labor & Industry reported Friday. July’s rate was revised down one-tenth to 6.5%. The U.S. rate fell two-tenths of a percentage point from July’s level to 5.2%. The state’s unemployment rate was 3.8 percentage points below its August 2020 level and the national rate was down 3.2 points over the year.

Small Business Resource Association relocates offices to Spring Township

The Small Business Resource Association has moved its offices to 2609 Keiser Blvd., Spring Township, from its previous location in Cumru Township. The new offices are in a separate suite located in the Riverfront Federal Credit Union building, home to the corporate offices of RFCU, a new, state-of-the-art bank branch as well as a food service operation serving breakfast and lunch and providing catering.
