American Legion Auxiliary Wraps Up Year

The Wakonda American Legion Auxiliary wrapped up another busy year at their June 7 meeting. Members presented a Memorial Day Program on May 28th at the Wakonda Heritage Manor and then treated residents to root beer floats. The Memorial Day Dinner was well attended and 131 meals were served. Proceeds from the meal were $453.88, after expenses. The Unit also purchased 2 Memorial Wreaths that were placed at the Legion Memorial Plaques at Union and Pleasant Valley Cemeteries.
