Hardin woman arrested for drugs, traffic violations, failing sobriety tests

A Marshall County woman was arrested on Monday morning by the Graves County Sheriff’s Office. At around 7:30 a.m., Sgt. Richard Edwards stopped a vehicle on Ky. 564 North of Burnett’s Chapel Road on moving violations. The driver was identified as Stephanie Wecker, 45, of Hardin. Wecker’s arrest came after Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and a vehicle search.

The new ordinance, if passed at its second reading, will bring a large swathe of changes to the city’s old sign ordinance, which recently came under scrutiny after two large LED billboards went up in March. Residents’ request for extra patrols sees man busted for DUI, drugs

A Hickory man was arrested after the Graves County Sheriff’s Office obliged residents’ requests for extra patrols in the Kaler and Symsonia area. On June 19, at approximately 8:45 p.m., Deputy Larry Jones was patrolling around Tim Road and Carman Road when he saw a gold Dodge minivan pull out of a driveway and travel east at a high rate of speed. He was able to catch up and stop the van in the 400 block of Sandhill Road. The driver of the van was identified as Marshall Dowdy, 30, of Hickory.

A man from Union City was arrested by the Graves County Sheriff’s Office after being pulled over for a traffic violation Saturday night. At around 9:30 p.m., Deputy Chandler Sirls stopped a vehicle driven by Jakyron Burnside. Burnside, 25, was operating on a driver’s license that was suspended for a DUI offense. The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office arrested five people last week in McCracken County during Methamphetamine trafficking investigations. Memphis man crashes car after high-speed pursuit with police

A man from Memphis, Tennessee was arrested early Monday after leading local and state authorities on a high-speed car chase throughout Graves County and Mayfield. At approximately 12:52 a.m., Graves County Sheriff’s Deputy Chandler Sirls saw a 2019 Dodge Charger driving erratically on the Purchase Parkway, coming from the Wingo area. Once Sirls tried to stop the vehicle, the driver accelerated to a high rate of speed in an attempt to flee. The pursuit continued northbound on the Purchase Parkway and I-69 until the vehicle took Exit 22 to West Broadway.
