Texarkana Texas police arrested 18 year old Charles Stinson for Burglary of a Vehicle yesterday. Police answered a suspicious persons call around 5.30 am to find a man talking to Stinson. The man told police he caught Stinson near his car and walking around his yard. The man found money and a lottery ticket missing from his console. Stinson denied doing anything in the car but he couldn't answer how his cell phone was found laying in the drivers seat of the car.

The city's historical district commission voted to deny a local church permission to tear down the house that it owns on Pecan Street. Alleged Houston gang member charged with possessing kilos of cocaine in Texarkana

An alleged member of the Houston gang the Vice Lords was allegedly in possession of more than 11 kilograms of powder cocaine during a traffic stop last month. Dewayne Lamont Dixon Jr., 34, was stopped May 26 while driving a brown Hyundai Tucson with Pennsylvania plates on Interstate 369 for driving five miles over the speed limit by a Texarkana, Texas, police officer. According to a criminal complaint filed in the Texarkana Division of the Eastern District of Texas, Dixon claimed he was traveling to Pennsylvania to visit family.
