Aiken County officials investigate double homicide at Days Inn

AIKEN, S.C. (WFXG) - An investigation is underway after two men were found dead with gunshot wounds inside a Days Inn. According to the Aiken County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to shots fired Saturday night around 11 p.m. at the Days Inn on 2654 Columbia Highway N. When officials got there, they found two men, 39-year-old Barry Redding and a 40-year-old, with gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced dead on scene. The Coroner's Office says the 40-year-old man has been identified, but the name will not be released until next of kin has been notified. Autopsies are scheduled for Wednesday in Newberry.
