St. Charles police seek ‘armed and dangerous’ Missouri man

ST. CHARLES – The St. Charles Police Department is asking for assistance with locating a Missouri man who has a warrant out for arrest. Police are looking for William Gary Barnes II. Investigators say he is an officer with the New Florence Police Department in Montgomery County. In addition to the arrest warrant, investigators say Barnes “is believed to be armed and dangerous.”

Murder-suicide investigation in Lincoln County

TROY, Mo. – The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an apparent murder-suicide just outside Troy, Missouri. According to David Hill, a spokesman for the sheriff’s office, deputies were called to a home in the 100 block of Chappel Hill Drive around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. Deputies found two adults dead inside the home. Both had been shot.

St. Charles police searching for officer accused of sex crimes

ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KMOV) - St. Charles police issued warrants Friday against a New Florence, Mo. officer accused of sex crimes. Officials say William Barnes II is believed to be armed and dangerous and is driving a white 2006 Cadillac with Missouri license plate No. RF1D5E. Warrants for his arrest have been issued for second-degree stalking, and two counts of non-consensual dissemination of private sexual images.

After a long, well lived life, Bill Evan Matthews passed away peacefully on May 21, 2022. He was at home in Osage Beach with his wife, Katie, by his side. Bill was born on September 20, 1929, in Mexico, Missouri, to Evan Walker and Ruth Adelaide (Moser) Matthews. On February 8, 1963, Bill married the love of his life, Katheryn (Katie) Bonnell and they were married for 59 years.

2 bodies found in Troy, Mo. home in apparent murder-suicide

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) - Deputies in Lincoln County are investigating an apparent murder-suicide late Tuesday night. Police were called to the 100 block of Chappel Hill Drive west of Troy, Mo. just past 9:30 p.m. for a shooting. Two adults were found shot and killed inside. No other suspects are being sought as evidence shows signs of a murder-suicide.

Police: 2 found dead after apparent murder-suicide near Troy, Missouri

TROY, Mo. — An investigation is underway after two people were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide near Troy Tuesday night. At around 9:31 p.m., Lincoln County deputies were called to a home in the 100 block of Chappel Hill Drive for a shooting. Two people were found dead inside the home. According to police, both victims suffered gunshot wounds.
