One person taken to the hospital after car crashes into house

MINERAL WELLS, W.Va. (WTAP) - One person was taken to the hospital after their car crashed into a house in Mineral Wells. Officials with the Wood County Sheriff’s Office said they received a call around 5:30 p.m. from a neighbor who witnessed the crash. It occurred on the 400 block of Jefferson Drive.

Parkersburg man wanted for child porn possession

PARKERSBURG, WV (WOWK) — The Parkersburg Police Department is asking for the community’s help finding 56-year-old Terry Joe Goodwin of Parkersburg. Parkersburg PD says Goodwin has an active warrant for possessing child pornography. Anyone with information about Goodwin’s whereabouts is asked to contact Detective D.W. Miller at 304-424-8427 or contact their local police station.

Athens County – Bridgeman Died by Suicide Autopsy Confirms, Coon Charged with Crimes Related

ATHENS, Ohio – The Athens County Coroner’s Office’s investigation of the death of Bryan Kyle Bridgeman, of Nelsonville, has concluded that Bridgeman died by suicide. Bridgeman, 30, was last seen on June 4, 2021. He reportedly left the house with $80 to allegedly purchase a video game at a private residence. When he did not return, his family reported him missing.

Fourth of July Events in the Mid-Ohio Valley

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - List of 4th of July events in the Mid-Ohio Valley;. Parkersburg is having a carnival in Parkersburg City Park from July 1st to July 4th as well as fireworks being set off from Fort Boreman at 10 pm on the fourth. A preview day for the carnival will be June 30th from 6 - 10 pm. The cost for wristbands for the rides on Thursday is $15. Friday July 1st the carnival will open at 6 pm and wrist bands will be $25. On Saturday they will be $20 for 1 - 5 pm, $25 for 6 - 11 pm, or $30 for all day. Sunday will have wristbands for $20 for 2 - 5:30 pm, $25 for 6 - 11 pm, or $30 for all day. On Monday they will be $20 for 1 - 5 pm, $25 for 6 - 11 pm, or $30 for all day. There will also be bingo everyday starting at 2 pm.
