LIMA — Authorities on Friday identified the man who allegedly shot a deputy in the face early Tuesday morning and died in the gunfire exchange. Quincy J. Pritchett, 43, of Lima, has been positively identified as the deceased suspect, according to a press release from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office.

WAPAKONETA — A Lima police officer arrested in Wapakoneta Sunday has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the results of a criminal investigation. Tyler Dunlap, 28, was charged with obstructing official business, resisting arrest and misconduct at an emergency in Wapakoneta after he reportedly interfered with EMS efforts to provide medical aid to a woman Sunday evening, according to court records and news reports.

(WWTI) — One lot of Panera’s at Home Southwest Corn Chowder which was sold in 12 states across the nation, including New York, has been recalled. According to the United States Food and Drug Administration, 2,569 cases of the 16-ounce chowder were recalled due to an undeclared wheat allergen. The item was only sold in refrigerated cases in the deli department of select retail grocery stores but was not sold at any Panera bakery cafe.

The Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure, also known as GOBA, rolled into the Auglaize County Fairgrounds in Wapakoneta on Monday. GOBA is an annual eight-day bicycle tour. On average, bicyclists ride 50 miles per day exploring the different attractions and destinations that predetermined host cities have to offer. Host cities also provide a large camping site for riders known as a Gobaville. This year, the tour takes place in western Ohio with riders arriving in Sidney on Saturday. On Sunday, some participated in an optional loop from Sidney to Versailles and back while others explored the City of Sidney before arriving in Wapakoneta today. While GOBA provides an opportunity for bicyclists to ride, the impact on nearby communities goes far beyond the trail.
