St. Louis Woman Charged after Chase

(Desloge, MO) A St. Louis woman, Winona Gilliam, is in custody on a $100,000 bond after she was arrested following a high speed chase involving officers from the Desloge Police Department. Few details are available currently yet St. Francois County Prosecuting Attorney, Melissa Gilliam, says she's they're charging Winona Gilliam with tampering with a motor vehicle, resisting arrest creating a substantial risk of serious injury or death to any person, exceeded the posted speed limit by 26 miles per hour or more, and driving the wrong direction on a highway divided into two or more roadways. Man and Woman Charged with Abuse

(Bonne Terre, MO) Two people from Bonne Terre, 28 year old Jessie L. DeMay and 35 year old Garry W. Triplett Jr. are in custody at the St. Francois County Jail after being charged with two counts of abuse or neglect of a child. Reports indicate a 3 year old boy is said to have began having seizures at the couple's home June 20th. The toddler was flown to Children's Hospital in St. Louis where it was discovered he had drugs, including fentanyl and methamphetamine, in his system. The boy's 10 year old brother is alleged to have also tested positive for methamphetamine. Both DeMay and Triplett are scheduled for their initial appearance in St. Francois County Circuit Court on the charges Tuesday.

Iron County Serious Injuries Crash

(Iron County, MO) An Ironton man, 41 year old Jeffrey W. White, is suffering serious injuries after he was involved in a one vehicle wreck in Iron county Sunday morning at 8:05. Troopers with the Highway Patrol say White was driving a van east on Highway 32, 5 miles north of Belleview, when it ran off the left side of the road in a curve and crashed into a tree. White was taken to Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Washington County official charged with stealing, forgery, misconduct

WASHINGTON COUNTY — A county official here is facing multiple charges, including stealing, forgery and official misconduct, the Missouri Highway Patrol announced Tuesday. Washington County Collector Carla J. Zettler, 50, of Mineral Point was arrested Tuesday after an investigation by the Highway Patrol that was requested by the Washington County sheriff, authorities said.
