WATERTOWN — The outcome of Sunday’s game for the Watertown Rapids wasn’t nearly as dramatic as the night before, but was still a welcome one for the team. Signor, 48, has had a habit of playing the lottery for years. But before his fateful recent win, the largest sum he had won was $2,000. So, when he realized that he had a $14,000,000 winning scratch off in his hand, he was in disbelief.

32 households benefitted from Lewis County grant programs ending this month

LOWVILLE — Goals were met by the two housing-related programs supported by Community Development Block Grants that will come to an official close at the end of this month. In the Lewis County Board’s June meeting, Snowbelt Housing Executive Director Jaylyn Haemes gave a final accounting of the two programs during public hearings, as required by the grant, to allow the public to comment on what was accomplished.
