Crane women ejected, serious injured in motorcycle crash

A woman from Crane sustained serious injuries in a motorcycle crash on Saturday, June 18, two miles north of Galena. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported Kari Eads, 54, of Crane was traveling south on Highway AA, when the floorboard of her Harley Davidson Motorcycle drug on the roadway as she was rounding a curve and caused her to lose control. The motorcycle went off of the roadway and Eads was ejected from the motorcycle.

Fire decimates Buttonwood Center in Kimberling City

Four businesses and four families had their lives uprooted as a fire blazed through the Buttonwood Center in Kimberling City in the early hours of Tuesday, June 21. According to Southern Stone County Fire Protection District Lieutenant Dylan Honea, the SCFPD got the call of a fire at the center just after 1:30 a.m. The Buttonwood Center is divided into residential and commercial areas, with four businesses and four occupied apartments.

Geena Davis discusses 'A League Of Their Own' ending

Chris Acker Performs for KUAF

Chris Acker and other friends are performing at Butterfield Stage in Rogers on July 8th, but first he joined Timothy Dennis to perform for KUAF. Timothy is a life-long Arkansan; he grew up in the hills outside of Winslow and has lived throughout northwest and western Arkansas. As a budding musician in his formative years, he became enthralled with recording technology, which carried over into his collegiate studies of print and multimedia journalism at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. Upon receiving his degree in journalism in 2011, Timothy immediately began working as a freelance reporter and photographer for the Washington County Observer in West Fork, Winslow and Greenland. It wasn't long before he left the newspaper business for radio and began working full-time as an announcer and news programmer for KURM AM/FM in Rogers.

The Next Generation: Rodeo of the Ozarks ropin’ fans in young

If parents play their cards right, they can start their kids on a lifelong adventure, courtesy of the Rodeo of the Ozarks. The 77th edition of the rodeo is scheduled June 22-25 at Parsons Stadium in Springdale. Founded in 1944, the rodeo should be 78 but canceled the 2020 performances due to covid-19 concerns. It’s back this year with some old favorites and some new entertainment, much of it focused on corralling the next generation.
