Stella was born October 13, 1943 in White Oak, Kentucky the daughter of the late Charley and Roxie Lykins Perkins, husband, Fillmore Sprague, brothers, Johnnie Perkins, Sammy Perkins, Carl Perkins, Burlin Perkins, Burgess Perkins, sisters, Mattie Perkins Isaac, Lora Perkins, Margie Blair, Alma Caldwell, son in law, Jim Terry, also preceded her in death.

The Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post is asking for the public’s assistance as part of an ongoing missing person investigation. KSP Post 9 was contacted on May 12, 2022, in reference to a missing Floyd County man. The initial investigation indicated that Gordon McKinney, 54 years old of Harold, KY, was last seen on May 09, 2022 in the Harold community of Floyd County. He is described as a white male, 5’8” tall, 210 lbs., with brown hair and blue eyes.

Remains of missing eastern Ky. woman identified using rapid DNA testing

Kentucky State Police announced that the remains of a missing eastern Kentucky woman have been identified using rapid DNA testing. “Utilizing the ANDE Rapid DNA Identification System, technology that generates DNA identification from forensic samples in fewer than two hours,” state police positively identified a Leslie County woman missing since 2020.
