Motorcyclist killed in single-vehicle crash

MOULTON, Ala. (WAFF) - A motorcyclist was killed early Saturday morning when the vehicle he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Colby Sutton, 38, was driving a 2006 Suzuki GSXR 1000 motorcycle on Lawrence County 150 around 2:15 a.m. when he left the roadway and struck a tree.

Vina man charged with attempted murder after shooting girlfriend near Red Bay

A Vina man faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, after he allegedly shot his girlfriend Tuesday. The Franklin County Sheriff's Office said Shannon Dale Hacker shot the victim on Garrison Hollow Road, outside the Red Bay city limits. Hacker then drove the victim to Red Bay Hospital and dropped her off with a gunshot wound to the arm before leaving the area.
