Fire caused by food left on stove displaces 11 in Woodbridge

A kitchen fire early Thursday displaced 11 people and left a resident with minor injuries in the County Center Crossing Apartments in Woodbridge. Fire crews were called to the 13000 block of Tanazari Way at 4:43 a.m. and arrived to find a kitchen fire extinguished by the building’s automatic sprinkler system.

Catalytic Converter Criminals Caught on Camera

Multiple catalytic converters were stolen overnight in Stafford County. On August 16th, around 12:13 p.m. Deputy A.J. Layug responded to a call of a larceny at Koto LLC at 28 Potomac Creek Drive. The victim had their catalytic converter stolen off their vehicle. A report was taken; however, that would not be the only catalytic converter stolen.

Two men arrested in connection to Motel 6 robbery in Stafford

According to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a report of a robbery at the Motel 6 on the 400 block of Warrenton Road just before 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 16. The victim reported one suspect kicked the door to his room open and threatened him with a knife demanding money -- and a second suspect outside the room acting as a lookout.
