Impersonating officer in Kenosha County, 19-year-old man accused

KENSOHA, Wis. - A 19-year-old man was taken into custody in Kenosha County Monday night, June 21 after he allegedly impersonated an officer. According to the Kenosha County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the area of STH 142 and the East Frontage Road for a report of a 2016 Jeep that had yellow and white strobe lights activated along with a siren and was observed pulling cars over and running through red lights.

Second child dies after being pulled from Lake Michigan

RACINE, Wis. — A second child pulled from Lake Michigan in Racine over the weekend has died, according to sheriff's officials. Yaadwinder Singh, 17, was unresponsive when he was rescued from the lake at North Beach Saturday. Authorities say the Franklin teen died Monday after being hospitalized in critical condition.

'It's kind of scary': Families celebrating Father's Day at North Beach keep close watch on kids after multiple drowning reports

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Multiple reports of drownings at Lake Michigan over the weekend reminded parents to keep kids close and safe while in the water. A ten-year-old girl died and a 17-year-old boy is in critical condition following two separate drowning incidents on the same stretch of beach in Racine on Saturday evening, according to the Racine County Sheriff's Office.

Shooting near carnival at Woodfield remains under investigation

Schaumburg police continue to investigate a shooting Friday night near a carnival taking place in the parking lot outside Woodfield Mall. According to police, a report of shots fired came in at about 9:45 p.m. Friday from 5 Woodfield Mall. Officers already at the carnival responded and found a parked, unoccupied vehicle with bullet damage, Sgt. Karen McCartney said Monday.
