Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: Four accidents

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 318 calls for service for the period of June 8 to June 15. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 5,190 calls for service. A 15-year-old male juvenile from Dresden was issued summonses June 13 for Criminal Mischief and Burglary, for an incident, which occurred on Middle Road, Dresden, by Deputy Michael Godin.

A man whose body was found in the Medomak River in Waldoboro has been identified, the Maine Marine Patrol said Wednesday morning. James Guptill, 34, of Waldoboro, was a local fisherman with shellfish and lobster licenses. His 16-foot-skiff was found aground and empty by other fishermen on Monday night. Body of Waldoboro Fisherman Recovered from Medomak River

Officials have released the name of a fisherman whose body was recovered from the Medomak River on Tuesday. The Maine Marine Patrol has identified the man as James Guptill, 34, of Waldoboro. His body was recovered from the river at 6:30 Tuesday morning, near Johnson Island. Guptill held a commercial shellfish harvester license, as well as a non-commercial lobster license. His body was taken to the Medical Examiner's office for an autopsy.
