The River Ridge Development Authority board of directors has named Josh Staten director of business development. He most recently was economic development and redevelopment director for the city of New Albany. Staten holds a bachelor’s degree from the Indiana University O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs and a master’s degree from the University of Louisville.

Two Injured In Monday Morning Accident Near Webster

WEBSTER (06/27/22) – A two-vehicle accident north of Webster Monday morning sent two people to hospitals for treatment. According to the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Department, two trucks side-swiped each along Kentucky Highway 261 about a mile north of the Post Office around 11:15 Monday morning, one of the vehicles going off the road and striking a utility pole. The driver of that vehicle was airlifted to Louisville, while the driver of the truck was taken to Breckinridge Memorial for treatment. The wreck resulted in downed utility lines, with approximately 180 Meade County RECC customers in the area losing power for a time. The accident remains under investigation.
