Heather Christine Cummins-Banks age 47, of Brookville, Indiana died Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at her residence in Brookville following a brave battle with cancer. Born April 29, 1975 in Oxford, Ohio she was the daughter of Rocky Cummins Sr. & Sheila (Robertson) Pierce. On July 3, 2020 she was united in marriage to Phil Banks, and he survives.

Kenneth “Kenny” Addison, 68, of Moores Hill passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022 at Envive of Lawrenceburg Healthcare Center. Kenny was born Wednesday, December 30, 1953 in Rising Sun, Indiana; son of Dewey and Adala (Bowman) Addison. Kenny worked for Dearborn County Hospital, the South Dearborn School Corporation, and in security for Argosy Casino. He was a member of the Moores Hill Sons of American Legion. Kenny enjoyed making walking sticks, woodworking, and collecting antique bottles.

Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating the death of a kayaker after he was recovered from a private pond. Friday at approximately 6:45 p.m., Conservation Officers responded to the 2800 block of Old Michigan Road in the town of Holton for a kayaker that had fallen in the water and not resurfaced.

Virginia Golden (McPherson) Witt, 94, of Milan passed away Friday, June 24, 2022 at Ripley Crossing in Milan. Golden was born on Monday, January 9, 1928 in Dayton, Ohio; daughter of Wilburn and Alta (Atchison) McPherson. Golden married Everette Witt on September 12, 1948 and he preceded her in death on January 31, 2002. She was a former member of the First Christian Church of Winchester, Kentucky and later transferred to Milan United Methodist Church. Golden was a Professional Interior Designer.

VERSAILLES, Ind. (WAVE) - An 18-year-old man has died after his motorcycle crashes into a semi truck near Versailles, Indiana on Thursday afternoon. According to Indiana State Police, a semi truck pulling a trailer was headed south on State Road 129 near Benham Road in Ripley County around 5 p.m.

Michael “Mike” Dean Allen, 49, of Greendale passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Mike was born on Thursday, October 12, 1972 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana; son of Stanley and Shirley (Littell) Allen. Mike was a member of the Milan Baptist Church. He worked for DHL in Hebron, Kentucky. Mike was a volunteer for the Milan Fire Department, Moores Hill Fire Department, an EMT for Milan, and a member of the Eagles in Aurora. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching sports, especially “Ohio State” and “Bengals” football, going to Bluegrass festivals, and time spent with his best Yorkie friend, Grover.
