Crystal Dizney is recognized as the Employee of the Month for June 2021 at Bates County Memorial Hospital. Crystal began her employment at BCMH in November of 2010. She began working in Patient Access, and then transferred to the Family Care Clinics. She has been working as a Certified Medical Assistant, and recently transferred to the Clinic Assistant Supervisor position.

Bates County Sheriff makes arrest in Arson case in Rich Hill

On 5/24/21 at approximately 0600hrs Bates County Deputies were dispatched to the Rich Hill Tire Shop just outside of Rich Hill, Missouri in reference to a large pile of used tires burning. Deputies observed several indications of arson. The burning tires also damaged a 1995 Ford Ranger, a 1992 Dodge Truck, a 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche, a 2007 Toyota Highlander, a Suzuki Reno and a 2007 Chrysler 300.

Bates County crash injures Lamar man, two minors when vehicle overturns

BATES COUNTY, Mo. — Three Lamar residents were injured in a Bates County accident Monday evening. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Brian E. Ruth, 44, was driving on Interstate-49, just south of the 121.8 mile marker, around 5:49 p.m. Monday. His Chrysler 300 traveled off the roadway, across the outer road, struck a tree and overturned. Ruth’s passengers, two female children ages five and seven, were minorly injured. Ruth was moderately injured. All three were transported to Bates County Memorial Hospital by EMS for treatment.

Three Injured in Bates County Rollover

One man and two young children were injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Sunday in Bates County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2006 Chrysler 300, driven by 44-year-old Brian Ruth of Lamar, Missouri, was on I-49, 337 feet south of the 121.8 mile marker at 5:49 p.m., when the vehicle traveled off the roadway, across the outer road, struck a tree and overturned.

Rockville man loses life in Bates County motorcycle accident Sunday

BATES COUNTY, Mo. — A Rockville man was fatally injured in a Bates County motorcycle accident Sunday night. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Timmy L. McIntire, 29, was driving on an unnamed alleyway, southwest of the intersection of West Vernon Avenue and North 4th Street, in Rockville around 8:45 p.m. Sunday. His SSR Motorsports Pit Bike ran off the right side of the roadway and ejected him. McIntire and the bike struck a utility pole. McIntire was pronounced deceased at the scene and transported to the Bates County Coroner’s Office.

Rockville Man Killed In Motor Bike Accident

A Rockville man was killed in a motor bike accident that occurred Sunday night in Bates County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 2021 SSR Motor Sports pit bike, ridden by 29-year-old Timmy L. McIntire of Rockville, was at 4th and Vernon in Rockville at 8:45 p.m., when the bike ran off the right side of the roadway. The driver was ejected. Both the bike and the driver struck a utility pole.

BATES COUNTY—A Missouri man died in an accident just before 9p.m. Sunday in Bates County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2021 SSR Motor Sports Pit Bike driven by Timmy L. Mcintire, 29, Rockville, was eastbound in an alley southwest of the intersection of West Vernon Avenue and 4th Street in Rockville.
