BALTIMORE (WJZ) — The 21-year-old man arrested in the murder of a Wicomico Sheriff’s Deputy was indicted on multiple charges—including first-degree murder—last week, according to charging documents. Austin Jacob Allen Davidson faces a total of 18 charges related to the death of Deputy Glenn Hillard, per June 27 documents filed at the Circuit Court for Wicomico County. He is being held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center in Cumberland, Maryland, according to charging documents. Davidson is scheduled to appear in court on July 15. Hillard was shot in Pittsville while he was trying to take a Davidson into custody. Davidson was wanted on felony warrants in multiple jurisdictions at the time, authorities said. Hilliard had chased Davidson as he was leaving an apartment complex before he was fatally shot.

The C&O Canal Trail is a 185 mile towpath spanning from Washing DC to Cumberland, MD. We rode 14 miles out and back to Harpers Ferry, WV. This trail is well-maintained and great for a family bike ride with kids.

On July 1, 2022 an Officer of the Cumberland Police Department observed a drug transaction between a male and female subject. The Officer witnessed a transaction of currency in exchange for a small plastic bag of suspected CDS. The female was contacted and was identified as Brittany Nicole Miller. Miller advised the Officers that she had marijuana and prescription medication in her possession. Miller was holding the currency in her hand when she was contacted. During the investigation it was determined that Miller sold prescription medication to the male subject for $100.00. Miller was placed under arrest and transported to Police headquarters for processing. Miller was subsequently remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center Held on $5000.00.
